How It Works
Step 1
Add two or more PDFs
Open them on this device, or drop them on the page. They stay in the list until you remove one. Nothing is uploaded.
Step 2
Put them in order and name the file
The top PDF is the start of the merged file. Pages inside each PDF stay in their own order. The download uses the name you type.
Step 3
Download
Merge the PDFs when you are ready. Turn on Make the merged file smaller only if you want a smaller file. Scanned pages usually shrink. Text pages often stay the same size.
Why Choose this tool?
On this device
The PDFs stay in your browser. Nothing is uploaded to EduTips, and we do not keep a copy.
You set the order
The first file in the list is the start of the merged PDF. Move a file up or down and the download follows that order.
Optional smaller file
Turn on Make the merged file smaller if you want a smaller download. Scanned pages usually shrink. Text pages often stay the same size.
When to Use Merge PDF
Joining assignment pages
Combine a cover page and the answers into one PDF, in the order the form asks for.
Combining scanned chapters
Put each scan in order and download one file. Make it smaller if the scans are large.
Sending one file instead of several
Name the download before you merge, so the file you send is called what you chose.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. The PDFs stay in your browser. Nothing is uploaded to EduTips, and we do not keep a copy.
Does the order on screen match the merged file?
Yes. The top PDF comes first, then the next one down. Pages inside each PDF stay in their own order.
Will the file get smaller?
Only if you turn on Make the merged file smaller. Scanned pages usually shrink. Text pages often stay the same size. If shrinking does not help, the download is still the merged PDF.
Can I merge a password-protected PDF?
No. This PDF is password-protected. Remove the password, then add it again. This tool does not remove passwords.
Are bookmarks, forms, and signatures kept?
Bookmarks and fillable form fields are not kept. A link on a page is kept. A digital signature on the original PDF is not valid on the new file.
How many PDFs can I merge?
At least two. Each PDF can be up to 15 MB and 200 pages. Together they can be up to 40 MB and 400 pages.
