How It Works

  1. Step 1

    Add the photo

Open a JPEG, PNG, or WebP on this device. The file stays on screen while you choose a size. Nothing is uploaded.

  2. Step 2

Choose the exam size or compress only

Pick SSC, NEET, WBJEE, WBPSC, keep the photo’s own pixels, or type a width and height. The crop follows that shape.

  3. Step 3

    Adjust and download JPG

Rotate, zoom, and filter, then set how hard to compress. JPG is the download forms ask for. PNG uses the same crop.

Why Choose this tool?

  • On this device

The photograph stays in your browser. Nothing is uploaded to EduTips, and we do not keep a copy.

  • Exam sizes

SSC, NEET, WBJEE, and WBPSC photo sizes are built in, with the centimetre size and the KB window the form names.

  • Compress

A slider estimates the JPEG size before you download, so a strict form limit is easier to hit.

When to Use an Exam Photo Resizer

  • SSC, NEET, WBJEE, or WBPSC photo upload

Fit a photograph to the 3.5 × 4.5 cm working size and the KB window that exam’s form names.

  • A form that only states a file size

Choose Compress only, move the slider, and download a smaller JPEG without changing the pixel size at zoom 1.

  • Your own width and height

Custom size locks the crop to the pixels you type, then the same compress slider sets the JPEG.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is my photo uploaded?

No. The file stays on your device. Resize, crop, compress, and download all run in the browser.

Which photograph sizes are included?

SSC, NEET, WBJEE, and WBPSC use a 3.5 × 4.5 cm working size (10–50 KB, 10–200 KB, 10–100 KB, and 10–100 KB). Compress only keeps the photo’s pixels. Custom takes a width and height you type. Those centimetre sizes are a working size at 200 DPI, not an official pixel rule.

What does the compress percent mean?

0 keeps the largest clean JPEG. 80 squeezes harder. The line under the slider is an estimate from this photo, such as 300 KB now to about 60–150 KB. It is not a promise, and it applies to JPEG only. The download message shows the real size.

Are JPG and JPEG different downloads?

No. JPG and JPEG are the same file. Download JPG saves a .jpg. PNG is the other option, and it does not aim for a KB limit.
