About Higher Secondary Examination
The Higher Secondary examination is conducted by the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) for Class 12 students.
Calculation Method
HS percentage is calculated based on the best 5 subjects out of 6 subjects. You can enter marks for any 5 or 6 subjects, and the calculator will automatically use the best 5 for percentage calculation.
Subject Combinations:
- Science Stream: Bengali, English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology (6 subjects)
- Commerce Stream: Bengali, English, Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics, Mathematics (6 subjects)
- Arts Stream: Bengali, English, History, Geography, Political Science, Philosophy (6 subjects)
Note: This calculator follows the standard HS examination pattern where the final percentage is based on the best 5 performing subjects, giving students the advantage of their strongest subjects.
